This is the core output of the INTEC project: a complete in-service training model for early childhood education and care (ECEC) professionals, built around a shared European framework and designed to be adopted by any ECEC service provider.
Rather than a single course or a one-off training event, the model brings together everything an organisation needs to plan meaningful, long-term professional development for its staff:
The model is accompanied by a full set of operational materials: an individual learning agreement template, course leaflets, and detailed Job-Shadowing Programme Guides (JS1–JS5) for each thematic pathway.
The model speaks to three groups of people who shape professional development in ECEC organisations: municipal education departments and service managers setting training strategy, centre directors and pedagogical coordinators translating it into practice, and training coordinators managing the day-to-day logistics, including Erasmus+ mobility.
The full document — including the competence framework, the five pathways, and all annexes — is available here.
The Document INTEC Professional Development Pathways and Job Shadowing presents the professional development pathways developed within the Transnational In-Service Training Curriculum (TITC).
Designed to support the continuous professional growth of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) professionals, the pathways provide structured yet flexible routes through the available training opportunities.
Each pathway responds to specific professional interests and developmental needs, helping practitioners and leaders strengthen their competences in key areas such as inclusion, pedagogical innovation, European cooperation, leadership, and community engagement.
While grounded in shared European values and quality principles, the pathways remain adaptable to diverse national and local contexts, enabling professionals to shape meaningful learning journeys throughout their careers.
